I was born in Houston, Texas and raised in a small, conservative Texas town outside of Austin. I have always had a great love and appreciation for politics and helping people around me. Even as a small child I enjoyed activities like cleaning up the neighborhood, helping out at town events, and making sure the community was a better place to live. Today, I dedicate most of my time Volunteering and running a blog. I love to help out with local and statewide political campaigns, going door-to-door and spreading the word about particular candidates I support.

Look at how terrible this process of abortion is. They basically cut the baby into pieces and pull it out. It’s being tortured to death and YES it CAN feel the pain
But I think the common method is inserting a chemical in the uterus and it “dissolves” the fetus, then removed with suction. Which isn’t any better.
Honestly, if people don’t want children, don’t have any. Be smart about your decisions.

I was honestly reluctant to reblog this; I’m truly about to cry…but just looking at the notes on this post, I find it incredibly sad that pro choicers are still justifying it. Its like if you can’t admit that THIS right here; MURDER of an innocent being, is what you think a woman has a right to choose to do, you might want to rethink your beliefs. If you all truthfully have no problem with a woman getting an abortion(which by the way they are currently legal all throughout the pregnancy) then why are you getting so worked up about it? This should be nothing to you. I don’t really care if its small, its still a human being. Do you think that baby bunnies; for example, are just ‘clumps of cells’ before a certain number of weeks? Of course you don’t, because that argument only applies to unwanted pregnancies and is used only to justify the mother’s irresponsibility. I don’t think people are truly aware of how many couples there are out there dying to adopt a child who cannot have children or want more. If you don’t want your child or don’t think you can take care of it, there is ALWAYS someone who will. And its a fucking shame that we live in a country where millions of unborn fetuses are murdered each year out of sheer selfishness..in case you haven’t noticed by now (and hell you should know this if you are old enough to get pregnant) LIFE DOESN’T ALWAYS GO AS PLANNED. LIFE SUCKS. But just because you’re pissed about the situation doesn’t give you the right to kill your unborn child.

To say that this is the right thing to do is to be sick in the head. Anyone who supports abortions should be plucked to death themselves and see how they enjoy it. This saddens me greatly.

OH GOD - A 23 week old fetus is viable outside the womb with support with excellent outcome especially in some demographics (girls do better, especially black girls, it’s not racist/sexist, it just is).  The baby would feel this although it has a lot of developing left to do.  The mother would, and she may well have been having Braxton-Hicks contractions already.  Depending on when it is within the 23rd week it is because the baby is growing so quickly then, she is nearing a foot tall and 2 1/2 lbs.  Her eyes are developed but would need to be protected from light.  Her lungs would be very underdeveloped and properly nurturing them would be one of the biggest hurdles to overcome for a positive outcome.  She would be more red than her eventual skin color.
I have cared for babies this small when I was in school.  My son was only 3 1/2 lbs. at birth.  There is no reason to ever abort these babies.
And by the way, these should never be benignly called D&E’s.
They are Elective Abortions.

I am pretty damn pro-choice, but at 23 weeks, there are not a whole lot of justifications for it, aside from the health of the mother, or maybe even if the fetus has genetic condition that will ruin its life expectancy or life quality. But those things aside, if you don’t know whether or not you’ll have an abortion if you get pregnant, you probably shouldn’t be having (presumed consensual) sex. You should prepare yourself for the possibility of a pregnancy and have a good idea of the choice you’d make should that event happen. I take frequent tests to make sure I’m not pregnant after being sexually active, and if I ever did get a positive, I would have an immediate abortion - early enough to just take the abortion pill instead of the actual surgery, when it’s still an embryo, has no pain receptors, and ideally before it develops a heart and brain.
While circumstances vary, and I think some people probably have decent personal reasons for a 23 week abortion, there’s pretty much no way I can morally justify an 6/7/8 month or partial birth abortion. Like, you seriously need to decide if you want to have a kid by then. Unless there is a health complication, there is almost no excuse not to just give birth and give the child up for adoption at that point.
