I was born in Houston, Texas and raised in a small, conservative Texas town outside of Austin. I have always had a great love and appreciation for politics and helping people around me. Even as a small child I enjoyed activities like cleaning up the neighborhood, helping out at town events, and making sure the community was a better place to live. Today, I dedicate most of my time Volunteering and running a blog. I love to help out with local and statewide political campaigns, going door-to-door and spreading the word about particular candidates I support.

Father and son political duo Ron and Rand Paul have been capturing increasing attention across the country as major figures in the extreme right-wing Tea Party movement. Ron Paul is a long-time congressman from Texas and perennial presidential candidate, while his son Rand is a newly elected senator from Kentucky. From their positions of power, both have promoted racism and advocated brazen attacks on working people.

The Pauls are associated with an ideology called Libertarianism. Libertarians oppose government social programs and restrictions on the capitalist market.

On certain issues, like the Patriot Act, the war on drugs and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Ron and Rand Paul can even seem progressive. However, Libertarianism represents a dead end for working people and distorts the key political questions facing oppressed people. […]


Or they have just voted against Government regulations that do more harm than good.
